Is Nioh hard like Dark Souls?

Nioh is a strategic game, you either melt or get melted. It’s much easier than souls or ER if you just pay attention to your build. Most bosses will die on the first try once you get your strategies going. I think it’s much, much easier. Especially the bosses. Also easier to grind levels and find/upgrade gear than ANY Souls game. Agreed, Nioh is on par with any soulslike. Also it one of the most difficult games ever made.Nioh is harder in the beginning – something about your gear being low level and you having not unlocked any skills with your weapons yet. It’s usually after the 2nd region that the game gets easier and feels more balanced. Most new players would agree with this. You just have to find a way to push through the hump.I absolutely adore Nioh 3. It’s one of the best Soulslikes I’ve played in ages, quite possibly since Elden Ring itself, and while it’s not as large (thankfully), the way it breaks everything down and gives you endless flexibility means that it’s just fun to play. All Nioh games are much more difficult that any of the games in Demon’s/Dark/Elden series, exception (perhaps, IMO) being Bloodborne . Fromsoft wants you to be methodical in your exploration, play defensively, and largely react and respond to the environment. For fans of the series, revisiting Nioh 1 and 2 can provide valuable insight into character development and thematic elements that persist through to Nioh 3. Engaging with the previous titles might also prepare you for the gameplay mechanics and combat styles that the series is known for.

Is it worth to play Nioh?

Nioh1 and 2 are the best soulslike games. The story are well executed and the gameplay is pretty amazing. I platinumed both nioh 1 and 2 and it is really a very fulfilling and rewarding experience, the same feeling I got playing Fromsoftware’s games. Less souls more spiritual successor to Ninja Gaiden. Nioh 2 isn’t really Diablo-like, though, at all. Completely different genres with totally different gameplay. Diablo-like = isometric ARPG, and more of a specific breed of them, like PoE, Last Epoch, Wolcen, Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, etc.Nioh 2 is a game about fighting, about spending hours minmaxing passives and builds, and about endlessly long combos that feel really satisfying to pull off. It’s like you’re in Dark Souls, except you’re playing a Tekken character who took a wrong turn.Nioh, by far. There’s not much in Dark Souls that’s actually challenging, it’s just a matter of knowing that it’s there when you turn a corner. Bloodborne is significantly more challenging than any Souls game, but even then it’s not on the same level as Nioh.
