Why was Paragon shut down?
Epic eventually decided to reduce Paragon’s development team and diverted its resources in favour of Fornite. Paragon’s limited growth had not met expectations. Eventually, maintaining Paragon when it had the goldmine of Fortnite in its hands, just did not make business sense. Not only did Predecessor draw inspiration from Paragon, it used assets directly from Paragon that were released by Epic Games Studios to be used by other development studios Paid Early Access for the PC was accessible on the Epic Games Store and Steam from 1 December 2022.Paragon was owned by Epic games. It shut down in 2018 (thanks Mug), and released it’s assets to the community. There have been several remakes/reincarnations of Paragon, but Omeda Studios’ game: Predecessor, is the only one still standing.
Is Paragon game still active?
After failed attempts to make the game sustainable and having trouble keeping a player base, Epic Games made the decision to shut down Paragon servers in April 2018. A little over a week after expressing doubt in its commitment to the maligned MOBA Paragon, Epic Games announced today that they are shutting down the game on April 26. In a statement released on their website, Epic lamented the end of the game’s life.Ultimately, in January 2018, Epic announced they would be closing down Paragon by April of that year, providing full refunds to all players.
