What’s the difference between Layers of Fear 2016 and 2023?
The 2023 edition of Layers of Fear is a remaster of several games into a single package, with shiny, upgraded graphics. It includes the original 2016 Layers of Fear, its sequel and additional chapters, alongside a new framing story. Layers of Fear: Inheritance is a DLC added to Layers of Fear, also released in 2016. This story follows the the daughter from the first game, all grown up and returning to her childhood home to find out what inheritance her father, the Painter, has left for her.

How many endings does Layers of Fear 2016 have?
Depending on player’s actions in the game, three endings are possible. There are three endings which are dictated by the player’s decisions in the key scenes. Two endings depend on the player primarily following or disobeying the Director. The third ending is obtained if there is an equal split in the choices made.For the main game, there are three endings as far as I know. The loop ending, The artist (self portrait) ending, The family ending. Or good and bad ending, or selfish and non-selfish ending. Depends on the person saying it, but there are three anyways.
