What is the ending to Blaidd’s quest?
With Ranni’s quest complete and the Dark Moon Greatsword in hand, return to Ranni’s Rise to learn of Blaidd’s ultimate fate; the Half-Wolf can be found outside the tower’s entrance, and unfortunately, he’s succumbed to the madness that Iji predicted. Blaidd and Iji are both attacked by the black knife assassin’s because Ranni most likely betrayed them and used them as a scapegoat for Ranni’s plan against the two fingers. Selvius, I think, dies much earlier in Ranni’s quest, most likely for his attempts at trying to turn Ranni into a puppet. He was given to Ranni by the Two Fingers to serve as her Shadow. Once she officially betrayed/slayed the two fingers, Blaidd went mad. Which is why Iji locked him up after the Radahn Festival. Blaidds inherent loyalty to the Two Fingers clashed with his hearts adoration and loyalty to Ranni. After she is given the Dark Moon Ring, return to Ranni’s Rise and you will hear Blaidd talking to himself in front of the tower. When he finishes his dialogue he will turn hostile, and defeating him will grant the player Blaidd’s Armor, Blaidd’s Gauntlets, and Blaidd’s Greaves (as well as the Royal Greatsword).Blaidd’s Character and Loyalty in Elden Ring He fought his madness to the very end. But even in madness, he still tried to protect Ranni from the assassins. He fought for her till the bitter end. A loyal friend/brother and a true warrior.
Does killing Blaidd ruin ranni’s quest?
This is because Blaidd is required to continue her quest line, and he will not leave the Radahn Festival until Starscourge Radahn has been defeated. Once Starscourge Radahn has been defeated, Ranni will reappear at Ranni’s Rise and her quest line can be continued from then on. Blaidd, who served as Ranni’s shadow, was a loyal ally who would defy destiny itself if it would have him turn upon his Lady.Among the sprawling myths of Elden Ring, Blaidd stands apart — not merely as a knight or companion, but as something older, more symbolic. He is a creature of dual nature: half beast, half noble warrior, bound by loyalty to a world that ultimately betrays him. And perhaps that is why so many players feel drawn to him.
Is the Blaidd quest missable?
Blaidd can be found initially at Mistwood Ruins, but must be found as part of his quest. Should Blaidd be hostile at the first encounter you can visit the Church of Vows. After using a Celestial Dew for atonement, Blaidd will reset. All questlines involving Blaidd can be completed successfully. Blaidd is waiting to attack you once the world resets. You can pull it off infinite times by simply resting at that grace. I think it is very much intentional by the devs since Blaidd says, Didn’t I say? No harm can befall a shadow.Blaidd can’t die until much later, but attacking him causes all of Ranni’s quest NPCs to also become hostile and disappear. Go to church of vows to atone and Blaidd will return and Ranni won’t be hostile. Then try to start Ranni’s quest and see if she’s there or not. Each time you kill him and touch the Radhan site of grace again, Blaidd immediately spawns and does not allow you to sit at the site of grace and attacks you.
