What is the point of the gems in Luigi’s Mansion 3?
Collecting all the gems will unlock a special statue of Luigi for the player to admire. It’s decorated with the gems that were collected. After Luigi collected 20-24 Boos, he was able to go out onto the Balcony. Once on the Balcony, Luigi found a large ring of Boos out in the center. As the plumber approached the center, the Boos formed a ring around Luigi and circled around him before morphing into one enormous Boo known as Boolossus.After his death, Bowser turns into a ghost, namely Boo, but still has some of his magic powers, which allowed him to bow Boos to his will. Then, he recreates his body (or creates a very similar mech) to inhabit it. However, he was unable to fully recover, so he traps Mario, though fails in capturing Luigi.There is a glitch where, upon the player capturing the 50th Boo, Luigi will collect the Gold Diamond at the same time, causing him to call E. Kind of unfortunate there’s only 3 endings as compared to the original’s 8. I guess most people would assume the Best Ending is the canon one, but thats not actually the case. During the Intro cutscene to Luigi’s Mansion 2, we see that Luigi is actually in the D Rank house from the original game, which means the D rank ending is canon.
Do you need all 50 boos in Luigi’s mansion?
While capturing all 50 Boos are not required to complete the game, a minimum requirement is needed to progress to the end of the game. Luigi needs to catch at least 5 Boos, where Professor E. Gadd will tell him to splash his face with water in the Washroom (1F) to feel better. The trick with this is to get Luigi to spray the ice and let the Boos come to you and try to attack you, so that you can freeze them by making them touch the ice with their attack, as opposed to just trying to chase after them as they will merely run away from you if you do that.In Luigi’s Mansion 3, the Boos will hide in different rooms and objects. To find them, the player must use Gooigi’s ability to track all of them.
