What happened to humanity in Scorn?
Philosophically, Scorn is a psychoactive weed sprouting from the writings of Marshall McLuhan, the pop-prophet who called technology an extension of the human body. In the game, the process has reversed. An alienated human form is reproduced by monstrous epigenetic machinery and then preys upon itself. The Parasite is a key character and antagonist in the story of Scorn being the protagonist’s weapon and inventory, where it holds your spare items when not needed. In return for this, it fuses its body with the host and consumes them through vines/tentacles that grow steadily.
