Is RE4 or RE5 better?
RE5 is better in a lot of ways. Both games have similar gameplay, but RE5 has more variety of gameplay and way better story. If you like Cooperative, yes. If you like it better than 4, then yes it is. Yes. You need to play the series to play this 9th game. There are at least 8 you need to play to fully understand the story. Its a really good game, you play as 2 different characters for this story.For RE5, I believe you should play RE1 and RE4, and maybe also Code Veronica. You can play RE5 without them, but you will not get the same understanding or insight as someone who has played RE1 and RE4 before RE5.Yes this series sometimes references story details in games that came before it, but honestly any game can make sense on their own anyway. I’d say play RE5 instead of RE6. Personally I’d only play 5 and not even bother with 6, but if you’re going to do both, you might as well do them in order.I believe the events of RE4 are referenced in one line of dialogue (a character mentions the Kennedy Report being similar to what they’re currently experiencing) that connects it to RE5’s plot, but there’s nothing substantial; You can play RE5 before or alongside RE4 and not ruin anything.
