titanfall, the first game in the series, was released for xbox one and microsoft windows on march 11, 2014. On april 8, 2014, it released for xbox 360. Despite the positive reception, titanfall 2 underperformed commercially, with most attributing its underwhelming performance to going on sale in a crowded release window, placed between the release of battlefield 1 and call of duty: infinite warfare.

Titanfall 2 is still very much alive and playable. The game will be 10 years old this year, and to many, is one of the best FPS games ever made. It really had it all. Excellent multiplayer, a great campaign, tons of content.
