Is Hellblade 2 boring?
While the original title felt decent for its time, even it struggled with somewhat shallow puzzle design and combat. Hellblade II doubles, triples, quadruples down on its own tedium, owning it and wearing boredom as a bizarre badge of honour. Hellblade 2 will only take around eight hours to beat, and while short games aren’t bad, they can’t be sustainable on five year development cycles. The first game was also short.
