Drake and American media entrepreneur, record executive and investor, Scooter Braun, became co-owners of ‘100 Thieves’ in October 2018. The company was originally founded by Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag the previous year. While the investment came as a shock to Drake’s fans, it seemed as though Drake and Braun had a plan. On October 23, 2018, 100 Thieves announced that they finished their Series A funding round co-led by Scooter Braun and Drake, who both became co-owners when they raised $25 million.

On January 5, 2026, 100 Thieves announced the signings of André Ag1l Gil, Alex poiii Sundgren, and William sirah Kjærsgaard. The following day, the team was finalized with the signing Nicolai dev1ce Reedtz. Thieves has announced the departure of Alexander ‘Zander’ Dituri ahead of the 2026 season of Riot Games’ VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT). The news comes shortly after the North American organisation bid farewell to Zander’s former teammates, Drew ‘Kess’ Lee and Daniel ‘eeiu’ Vucenovic.
