DOOM, DOOM II, and DOOM 3 have been released on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch with local 4- player co-op added. EDIT** So you can play 1/2 offline, but you are required to make a Bethesda Net account and login online before you can do so. Doom 3 on the original Xbox had co-op but the BFG edition doesn’t (total shame, it’s a frelling awesome game).
Is Doom 3 online multiplayer?
The Xbox version of Doom 3 also incorporates an additional two-player co-operative mode for the main single-player game. As of April 15, 2010, the Xbox Live service was shut down, thus online multiplayer for the original Xbox game is no longer available. Doom 3 was a reboot that tried to make the game more horror-focused, which some fans didn’t love. I think Doom 3’s story was a bit too heavy on the horror and not enough on the action for some fans. The original Doom games were more about action and fast-paced gameplay, whereas Doom 3 tried to tell a story.
