Can you still play NCAA Football 14?
So if you still have a copy of the game, you’ll obviously still be able to play it even after March 2025, but if you want to do any last looks around or play one last online dynasty with some friends for old time’s sake, now is the time because, well, it’s closing time. Back in Feb 2022 they did a 10 year roadmap stream for the game and outlined some of the plans and they do have ideas for a couple expansion so if the game keeps its popularity and SE stays afloat then the game should keep going for another 8 years at least.
Why was NCAA 14 discontinued?
In 2014, Electronic Arts stopped producing its college sports franchises after a federal court found that EA and the NCAA, who weren’t paying players for their portrayals in the game, were violating federal antitrust law—and after the NCAA and conferences pulled their trademark licensing from the company as a result. The franchise ended after NCAA Football ’14 (released in summer 2013) because of legal disputes regarding the usage of name, image and likeness (NIL) of the players and violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act.
