Why was Star Fox 2 released in 2017?
Star Fox 2 was released on the Super NES Classic Edition in 2017. When compiling a list of games to include on the Super NES Classic dedicated console, the system’s producer proposed the inclusion of Star Fox 2. He thought it would be a waste otherwise to never release a completed and debugged game. Star Fox 2 was canceled in mid-1995, when it was about 95% complete. Nintendo still wanted the game finished after cancellation, so they took it through full localization and QA testing.
Is Star Fox 2 better than 1?
The graphics and level design are much better, there’s more detail, there’s backgrounds, and despite being dated, it’s a much better looking game than the first one. The music is ok, but it’s not as good as the first game. Overalll, star fox 2 fun, but it’s short, easy but i enjoyed it nonetheless. An impressive game star fox assault for the nintendo gamecube was a worthy addition to the series. The graphics and music are outstanding and the voice acting is mostly improved from previous titles. There are some minor quibbles to make.
