Why was Mrs. White removed?
Dr. Orchid was introduced as a replacement character with a fresh background story, allowing new strategies and perspectives in gameplay. The removal of Mrs. White was part of refreshing the Cluedo narrative, making it more relatable to contemporary players. Dr. Orchid was woven into Clue’s narrative as the adopted daughter of the owner of Tudor Mansion, the doomed house where many a murder have been committed. She was raised by housekeeper Mrs. White and then sent to boarding school in Switzerland.
