Why was Fable 3 removed from Steam?
Fable 3 was removed from Steam simply because Microsoft ran out of cdkeys. You see , that game used GFWL, an extension of Xbox Live services for PC meant to manage drm of Microsoft Games and other publishers, Microsoft used to push it heavily back in the day. We do these things for the best of the games and the teams. Microsoft has delayed Fable from its 2025 release window to some point in 2026, while also providing a first look at brand new gameplay. Fable is the upcoming reboot of the Xbox franchise made famous by the now defunct Lionhead Studios.It was on sale years ago for Steam, I believe it was removed due to licensing. I would wish Microsoft bring it back, and port the 2nd game to PC. But Fable 3 was the worse for bugs even on the console when I played it on the X360. IMO best to worse.While it was available on Steam in the past, it was subsequently removed following the discontinuation of the Games for Windows Live service, which is required for Fable 3 to run on PC.
