Why was Dead Space discontinued?
In both the United States and the United Kingdom, Dead Space 3 was the top-selling game in February 2013. In spite of this, the title failed to meet the company’s sales expectations. A fourth main series title was canceled as a result of the third entry’s disappointing sales. Dead Space 4 Isn’t Happening… For Now 🚨 Horror fans were hoping EA would greenlight a new chapter, but according to the original creators, their Dead Space 4 pitch was shut down quickly. The 2023 remake was critically loved but didn’t sell as strongly as EA hoped.
What’s the worst Dead Space?
Dead Space 3 Is The Worst In The Series Dead Space 3 is, ultimately, the series’ worst mainline offering, compromising much of the series’ horror focus in favor of a more action-oriented experience. Dead Space 3 is a good action game, but a poor sequel. Unlike the first two, this is NOT survival horror. Instead, it’s a third person shooter similar to Lost Planet and Gears of War. Sadly, the game has recycled enemy types that repeat too often.
