From the OG MH, the only canon characters that are LGBT+ are Valentine and kiyomi. The creator, G. Sanders stated that he did originally not intend for Clawdeen to be lesbian but he liked the idea. As for valentine, he was originally meant to be gay and in his diary he mentions his crush on casta’s fierce brother. Creator Garrett Sander has confirmed that several characters were meant to be LGBTQ+, though corporate pressure initially prevented it from being explicitly shown at the time of the show’s run, and has voiced support for audience’s interpretation of Clawdeen being a lesbian.
