I am astounded that not only is the Silent Hill 2 remake faithful to the source material, but in many aspects improves upon it. Granted, this remake is far from perfect, but a patch or two could allow it to stand the test of time in a similar fashion to the original. Silent Hill: Book of Memories has 6 endings and Silent Hill 2 Remake has 8 endings.
Is Silent Hill 1 or 3 better?
Silent Hill 1,2 and 3 are all masterpieces in my Opinion, but in different ways. Soundtrack and the roughest Atmosphere. Story and maybe best Side characters. And 3 has the best Main character and the most visual detailed and disturbing Otherworld. All of the Silent Hill games from PS1 and PS2 sell for good money, with “Shattered Memories” being the most valuable and SH3 not far behind. There a is a large collector base for PS1 and PS2 Horror games, especially the rarer titles like Kuon, Rule of Rose, Echo Night, Obscure and Haunting Ground.
