A blend of timing, bad marketing and Bandai being Bandai. Digimon reached the western market during Pokemania, so it couldn’t really compete. The marketing mishaps certainly did not help. Outside of hardcore fans, most other people simply forgot about Digimon. Pokemon was more popular due to its card game and nintendo backing it up with it’s video game franchise. Although this was true I always felt it was more for children. Whereas Digimon had a heart and soul making it the heartbeat for many of us.Yu-Gi-Oh! Digimon was also considerably behind Pokemon even in the 90s to the point they weren’t ever truly rivals. Digimon was a popular franchise, Pokemon was a cultural phenomenon.
Does Digimon Survive have a true ending?
There are 5 endings in the game. The fifth ending is the true ending. I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say that you can save everyone in that ending. There are 5 endings Moral, Wrathful, Harmony, Truthful and Bad ending. The Bad ending happens in part 8 before going back to the other World but unlike the others there is no credits.
