What is the best starting character in Bards Tale 4?
A Bard is a good choice for your first character. Bards can be effective as either a DPS or tank/buffer class and they have good survivability for adventuring alone in the early game. Bard is the easiest class in terms of roleplay. Because with expertise in persuasion early on, you are as good at passing dialogue checks as a rogue is at picking a lock. You can make anyone do anything you want, so the story is much easier to mold.It depends on what subclass you want to go. For Lore Bard the optimal races are Githyanki and then Human/Half-Elf.
