Is Planet Zoo worth it without DLC on Reddit?
All gameplay is in the base game apart from one item (walkthrough exhibit) that needs DLC animals to work. So I’d definitely recommend getting the base game and only adding DLC when you find there are animals you really want or you really like a build theme you see people using. Buying base game still gets you an incredibly solid experience imo – and while some DLC’s add some pieces that the community regards as rather essential (I’m thinking faux rocks for example from Aquatic, and the grasses from Conservation) items and animals that are cornerstones of the zoo world, I think it’s possible .
