LittleBigPlanet is a 2008 platform video game developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 3. It is the first installment in the LittleBigPlanet series. On October 8th, Sony announced, “After 10 years of playing, creating and sharing content in LittleBigPlanet 3, the game and our entire range of LittleBigPlanet DLC will be removed from the PlayStation Store on October 31st 2024. Is LittleBigPlanet 3 offline?
Due to ongoing technical issues which resulted in the LittleBigPlanet 3 servers for PS4 being taken offline temporarily in January 2024, the decision has been made to keep the servers offline indefinitely. LittleBigPlanet 3 User generated content (UGC) stored locally on your PS4 will remain available. Any new UGC you create can be played on your PS4 but not shared. Offline features such as the campaign will remain playable.
Is LittleBigPlanet deleted?
On 19 April 2024, the servers for the PlayStation 4 version of LittleBigPlanet 3 were permanently shut down due to ongoing technical issues. On 8 October 2024, it was announced that LittleBigPlanet 3 for the PlayStation 4, alongside its DLC, would be removed from the PlayStation Store on 31 October 2024. Due to attacks on the online servers, all LittleBigPlanet servers were taken down on 22 May 2021 (the Vita version had remained closed since March).
Is LittleBigPlanet worth playing?
LittleBigPlanet is still a great worthy game. The feel of the game is a little different than other platformers, but in a good way. It’s very rag-doll (which makes sense considering you’re kind of a rag doll), and a lot of the physics are very fun. I’ve beaten 1 and 2, and never created a level myself. Most of the games in the series have been well received by critics with the LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable gaining Metacritic scores of 95/100 and 87/100 respectively.
