Project Zomboid is the ultimate in zombie survival. Alone or in MP: you loot, build, craft, fight, farm and fish in a struggle to survive. A hardcore RPG skillset, a vast map, massively customisable sandbox and a cute tutorial raccoon await the unwary. After 72 in-game hours, 10% of zombies will respawn. If a cell originally had 500 zombies and you clear out 50 a day, no zombies respawn unless you leave the cell for 72 hours. If you do leave, they’ll slowly return until the cell reaches its max of 500 again.By default, zombies respawn in Project Zomboid after 72 hours of leaving a particular cell (which is roughly 300×300 tiles). Additionally, the number of undead respawning in a cell is about 1% of the undead’s total population. Avid players also discovered that the respawn rate increases as the game progresses.
