Before going in-depth into the technical aspect and fun factor of the gameplay, I want to address something. Yes, WWE 2K22 is a much better game than WWE 2K20. Comparing the two is unfair since WWE 2K22 is a much more polished and technically proficient game than its predecessor. WWE 2K19 succeeded at doing everything that 2K17 and 2K18 tried to do. This was a better game by every measure but all it really was at the bottom was a fine-tuned mixture of functions from WWE 2K17 and 2K18. With this title WWE’s 2K series perfected the gameplay formula and delivered on fast and fluid combat.But inherent contradictions aside, I can confidently say — thanks to its much-improved Showcase and MyRise modes, several smart additions like intergender matches, “they’re always good” modes like WWE Universe and MyGM, and generally great game feel — that WWE 2K25 is pretty grand.
