Ubisoft is facing serious financial pressure in 2025, with its half-year earnings report abruptly postponed just minutes before release, trading of Ubisoft shares temporarily suspended on Euronext, and years of expensive underperforming titles raising fresh questions about whether the company is in financial trouble, . Ubisoft Entertainment SA shares crashed after the company said it would cancel game projects, shut down studios and cut its guidance. The company expects to record a loss before interest and tax of €1 billion in the fiscal year 2025-2026 as a result of the restructuring.In January 2025, Ubisoft closed the Ubisoft Leamington studio and downsized several other studios, resulting in up to 185 staff being laid off as part of ongoing cost-cutting measures.
