Is there going to be a Gran Turismo 8?
It is the ninth major release, the sixteenth game overall in the Gran Turismo video game series, after Gran Turismo 7. The game includes optional PlayStation VR functionality and will be released exclusively for the PlayStation 6 on May 16, 2027. Based on past release cycles, Gran Turismo 8 will unlikely arrive in 2025. Given what we know, a release window between 2026 and 2028 is expected. Although series creator Kaz Yamauchi confirmed that the next game in the series is officially in early development, there still seems to be a long road ahead.It is now official! Gran Turismo 7 is no longer in development and all patches have been overwritten. This news came in recently following rumors flying around about Gran Turismo 7 in development. However, the controversy underwent a twist, as the plans to port this title on PC have been canceled.
