Just a reminder for anyone having trouble but wanting to replay the original SH1 before the remake: The PS3 store is still up and running, and you can grab the original Silent Hill (PS1 Classic) for super cheap. Note: This post is intended for those who prefer not to use an emulator. Silent Hill 2 Remake is a fine start. SH2 is its own thing, so it can be played on its own without a problem.
