Is Pac-Man World Repack a good game?
When I reviewed the first Pac-Man World remake, 2022’s Pac-Man World: Re-Pac, I found it to be a competent remake of a cult classic that, whilst loved by a lot of people due to nostalgia, isn’t and has never particularly been a groundbreaking title in the platforming genre. In PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC, Pac-Man World 2 is back with a fresh coat of paint and brand-new features! With modern graphics, expanded levels and Pac-Village, quality of life improvements, and voice acting – PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC is the fan favorite remade from scratch with the original recipe.Originally released in 2002, PAC-MAN WORLD 2 Re-PAC puts players in the role of the iconic character, embarking on a journey across Pac-Land. Players will navigate through six unique worlds, with environments such as meadows, an ice peak and a volcano, while facing off against the Ghosts and their boss Spooky.A remake of Pac-Man World, titled Pac-Man World Re-Pac, was announced through a Nintendo Direct in June 2022. Developed by Now Production, using the Unity engine, the game recreates the game from the ground up.Not all of these changes are for the better and I certainly don’t think that the intent behind some of them flows well with the rest of the game, but this is still a fairly successful remake that does its best to improve things. I wasn’t expecting Pac-Man World 2 Re-PAC to pivot much from its original incarnation.

Is Pac-Man World Re-Pac fun?
I went into Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac expecting a nostalgic trip through a delightful yet flawed 3D platformer of my youth. Instead I got a lovingly re-imagined overhaul that exceeded my expectations in every way. This is now just an excellent 3D platformer with no need for qualifiers. Important. PAC-MAN 99 for Nintendo Switch was discontinued on 8 October, 2023.
