Is Outlast 2 horror?
OUTLAST 2 (2017) is a horror survival game that, similar to the first game, has you play as another investigative journalist, that is soon ambushed by a horrific cult. While this game is still pretty unsettling and at times terrifying, it doesn’t quite pack the same punch as the first game. Like its predecessor, Outlast 2 is a first-person single-player survival horror that continues the found footage characteristics from the first game.While the game was scary, the sequel held back the psychological horror factor unlike the first game where the developers go all out. The game did give me a lot of scares throughout, but I wasn’t traumatized at all from the gameplay, like the first game.horror game outlast 2 was just as frustrating as it was awesome. Frustrations mostly came because of a bad difficulty balance – the game was constantly throwing the player in front of the enemies and often gave him no chance to survive if he gets scared and does not know where to go.
