Is Nioh harder than Dark Souls?
Hard to say. Nioh has the more complex combat system, though, and takes a good bit of time and effort to master. Dark Souls 3 is plenty hard enough, but compared to Nioh’s faster pace, much of the difficulty seems to come from the clunky way your avatar is always half a second behind your control inputs. Nioh and Nioh 2 both require more mechanical skill imo. Elden ring is pretty comparable difficulty wise but I’d definitely say Nioh is harder. Also Elden Ring has autosave.I would sum it up like this: Nioh is harder when it comes to technique and precision, you need to use as much as you can (ki pulse, stance switching), your actions per minutes much higher compared to DS games (Sekiro & Bloodborne are different), learn how to counter mobs and when to counter, how to follow up etc.Nioh isn’t too hard, but has similar difficulty to those games in general, meaning you will struggle at times, especially early, and especially if you’re going against enemies at a higher level than what you’re at. But at least it tells you what the recommended levels are before starting the mission. Here is my answer: Dark souls 3 is harder. Nioh’s difficult is based on enemies that can one shot you and multiple enemies fights and while this make the experience harder it’s just a small part of the game and for most part team ninja creation is easy.
Is Nioh like Dark Souls or Sekiro?
Nioh is more like Dark Souls in rhythm and build variety and more general gameplay aspects, whereas Sekiro is objectively higher quality story/atmosphere/level design-wise – and of course it’s also made by Fromsoftware so their classic environmental storytelling is still there. The combat system really isn’t reflective of either one; it’s more like Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry with a stamina bar bolted on. Personally, I found it harder than Bloodborne and easier than Sekiro, but then again, Sekiro combat is basically a rhythm game and I utterly suck at anything resembling those.Sekiro is one of the best games of all time, Lies of P for me has been the best non-From- Soulslike so far, LotF is dogshit. Both are realy good but sekiro is harder. Personally i had more fun on Lord of the fallen. The fact that you can switch between 2 worlds is realy Nice and changes from others souls like.
Why do people like Nioh?
What i like about Nioh is that, unlike the Souls games or other Soulslikes, you really, truly cannot underestimate weaker enemies. Underestimating a Gaki, Dweller, Skeleton, etc, is a quick way to die, and as the difficulty begins to climb, the more you’ll have to take them seriously. Nioh is like a fusion between Ninja Gaiden and Onimusha, with peripheral mechanics from Dark Souls, stances from Bushido Blade, and loot in the style of Diablo.Nioh is an action role-playing game set in Japan during the year 1600, with players taking the role of an Irish samurai named William.Set in Japan during the late 1500s, most of Nioh 2 storyline chapters are a prequel to Nioh, while the end chapters of the story take place after the first game’s last storyline following the Siege of Osaka. One of Nioh’s greatest strengths is its cast of characters, many of whom are based on real historical figures. While some are heavily fictionalized for dramatic effect, the game brings legendary figures to life in exciting ways. Each draws from Japan’s feudal past, but they do so with sharply different philosophies. While Nioh leans into RPG systems and historical-fantasy hybrid storytelling, Sekiro presents a tight, singular vision grounded in skill-based swordplay and narrative structure.
Is Nioh 1 or 2 better?
Nioh 2 has a lot of quality of life, balance adjustments, and features over Nioh 1. Where Nioh 1 may subjectively better characters, maps, and story compared to Nioh 2. If you have time, budget, and patience to adapt to the series, would say to play both. The general consensus is Nioh 2 is the better combat mechanics and enemy diversity. Nioh 1 is the better story/atmosphere.No multiple game endings. Some side quests have different ways to resolve them with different end quest dialogue but nothing significant other than a few optional levels only being unlocked by befriending a few characters.
