If you’re a fan of the original Nioh, or soulslike games in general, this is absolutely something worth picking up. And for those of you who aren’t so accustomed to games like this one? Well, so long as you go in with the right mindset and strive to keep improving yourself, you should end up loving it, too. The answer: Nioh 3 is easier than Nioh 1 & Nioh 2. It is vastly easier than Nioh 1 was on its launch patch (which has been made easier since then), and slightly easier than Nioh 2. The new “Ninja Style” makes it more approachable for Newcomers thanks to several new game features and design choices.Despite being an obvious Souls-like and taking clear influence and inspiration from FromSoft, Nioh in itself is a very unique game and far from a simple clone of the Souls formula. It’s hard, but not as punishing as the from games (until you get into the higher difficulty levels, but that’s a whole other rabbit hole you can dive down yourself) But it’s also fun and easy to pick up, so I’d say it’s hard at first but once you get the mechanics down it’s pretty easy and a blast to play, especially . Theres no difficulty setting but its easy enough to check out a build on the internet that makes the game easy.
Is Nioh 2 harder than Wo Long?
Nioh offers an intense challenge, but Nioh 2 reined in the difficulty. Wo Long has a simpler combat system and certainly takes notes from Nioh 2, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it continues the downward trend of difficulty. Nioh isn’t the only Soulslike Wo Long compares to, however. In Nioh, the enemies’ every move is crystal clear, and even if you accidentally take a hit, you’ll quickly learn to be smarter. At worst, a reckless rush will get you through. Intuitive feeling, after playing Sekiro, I feel that Nioh is much, much easier.
