As of 2021, download versions of the game are no longer available for purchase in any online stores, and online play was shut down on September 1. As of October 2025, the Online services for the game have been shut down.The online multiplayer lobby was shut down on August 1, 2011, though it is still possible to play the game in multiplayer via an unofficial modification called Most Wanted Online.
