Is KSP still free?
The Demo version is free to download and play, and will remain so forever. The KSP Team is strongly committed to the project, and we are always listening for feedback from the players. KSP is very cpu intensive game and needs a decent cpu.He (Doug Ellison) notes that many at NASA use KSP to experiment in ways that their more unforgiving real-world environment wouldn’t allow them to do. In essence, they can do a rough test of the many strange ideas that never quite make it off the ‘sketch on a napkin’.KSP is one of the best ways to spark children’s interest in technology and rocket science.I am an active part in the KSP community, and I think this game (or simulation, if you may) is great. It can educate PEOPLE, not only kids, about the wonders of space. It is hard to play and use, but that is a good thing. It isn’t some dumb game that requires no skill whatsoever and anyone can play.
Is NASA using KSP?
While KSP had already begun collaborating with NASA and SpaceX to create programs for education in aerospace, engineering, and science, KSP has not yet been extensively used for the representation and analysis of mission architectures. KSP is dead. Not only KSP2, it also took any development from KSP1 with it. But KSA isn’t. Kitten Space Agency, by a different developer.
