Is it worth to play Sea of Thieves?
As a Monkey Island fan, I can say without hesitation that the Sea of Thieves is a great game to scratch that pirate itch. I thought the expansion was very good. Not great but it was really fun to get immersed back into the game I love so much. Sea of Thieves is an Online-only game. This means it is eventually going to die. While this game is going very strong, once Rare decides the servers are no longer worth their effort the game will no longer be playable ever again.Play through Tall Tales to experience Sea of Thieves’ unique take on a story-driven campaign. What is the goal in Sea of Thieves?
Focus on the journey, the enjoyment of being on the Sea of Thieves and doing different things (a crew will help immensely, for anything from messing around with far too much grog to getting things done), not the destination of whatever unlock you intend to get. Yes, you can play Sea of Thieves solo, but it’s more challenging than its cooperative counterpart.
Has anyone 100% completed Sea of Thieves?
Eventually, they did just that, lowering the bar from an absurd estimated 10,000+ hours to finish the game to somewhere around 2,000 or so. We know that because community member and avid completionist Zyx just became the world’s first pirate to earn every single Sea of Thieves achievement. We said Rare would need to alter the way their game works if anyone was to ever earn all the achievements. Why did people stop playing Sea of Thieves?
This game has always been about who can claim loot and defend it. Just because some people want to play peacefully without risk doesn’t mean the game should cater to their vision. Sea of Thieves is NOT a single-player chill simulator for fishing and roleplay, no matter how badly some wish it were. In 2022, there are still hundreds of thousands of people play Sea of Thieves monthly and with more updates and marketing this game will still be popular in 2026.
