Disappointing compared to horizon zero dawn forbidden west is a major downgrade compared to zero dawn. Guerrilla certainly improved graphics and animation, but almost every other aspect of the game has been made significantly worse. You don’t have to tackle the expansion for zero dawn, but it’s highly recommended! The guide hall continues to enjoy horizon forbidden west, along with a handful of other open-world titles.Zero Dawn had the better story. Forbidden West was more fun to play and progress through. Plus the side missions in Forbidden West were a lot of fun as well. Both great games though.

Machine hunting is more vital in Forbidden West, as it was made a more integral part of crafting. The world in Forbidden West is slightly larger than that in Zero Dawn, though the studio focused on increasing the world’s density to ensure that it was filled with content. Forbidden West is maybe more polished, but with the PS5 remastered of Zero Dawn there’s not much difference anymore. I like the story and how it unfolds in Horizon Zero Dawn better, I think! Zero Dawn had the better story. Forbidden West was more fun to play and progress through.

At the very end of the expansion’s story, you are given the option to romance Seyka. For that reason, many fans have assumed Aloy to be queer as well.
