Is High on Knife worth it?
High on Knife generally stands out in the context of High on Life because it has some of the game’s best overall moments. It hasn’t completely shaken all of the eye-rolling humor that powered the original, but its conciseness and ability to spotlight more deserving characters makes it significantly less grating. High on Knife is the first DLC for High On Life and can be played instantly after installation. You will see the option appear in the main menu. So, if you have not completed or played the base game but want to dive right into High On Knife, then you can absolutely do so.

Basically, anyone who played High on Life for any extended length of time and enjoyed it, was already a fan of Roiland’s comedic style. The frenetic, anxious energy that came from Roiland’s portrayal of Kenny, is completely missing from High on Knife. Even after all these years, Fraiser Crane is still finding work. In the episode Kenny Dies, Kenny dies after developing terminal muscular dystrophy, while Parker and Stone claimed that Kenny would not be returning in subsequent episodes. The duo insisted they grew tired of upholding the tradition of having Kenny die in each episode.Kenny’s inability to speak limited his development as a character, leading to the decision to kill him off permanently. While Kenny eventually returned, the running gag involving his death is far less frequent–though South Park has delved further into the lore of how he is able to return each time he dies.The reason Kenny was killed off in Season 6 was because Trey Parker and Matt Stone were getting tired of killing him and decided to just get rid of him but they then decided to bring him back by leaving clues of his return such as having his soul live inside of Cartman.Kenny is one of the two Gatlians to not return in the High on Knife DLC alongside Lezduit. The reason for this is due to his voice actor having been kicked out of Squanch Games, and as a result caused Kenny’s absence.
