Heaven Dust is, essentially, a survival horror with a top down perspective. It’s not a fantastic example of the genre, but it’s a very solid entry that in some elements puts to shame some of the monoliths of the genre in how smart it is about focusing on the main genre pillars. This is a feel-good family film that just may cause you to shed a tear or two. Content collapsed. Despite its many good points, Heaven is for Real can’t escape its limitations, and does at times feel like a TV movie of the week. It is an intriguing story, yet it fails to analyze the issues at hand in any depth.
