Is Grim Dawn getting another expansion?
Fangs of Asterkarn is the upcoming third expansion pack for Grim Dawn, announced in August 2023. It will send players to Asterkarn, the western territories of Cairn. The expansion is expected to be released in 2025, with some features introduced by post-release free content updates. Is Grim Dawn good without DLC?
The DLCs are mostly just continuations of the base game, so you can safely enjoy the base game without them. Only thing you’d be missing out on really are the 3 classes that come with the dlcs. If you enjoy the base game enough, the dlcs are very good and well worth it. Yes. DLCs are known to be a bit harder than the base game. It’s meant to be much harder because you’ve already had the entire base game to practice. Yes way harder but also some of the mechanics were annoying, namely the spirits and enemy types that forced you to play a specific weapon mod against them.This DLC, in my opinion, has slightly better additions in my mind. It adds things that just feel a little more intuitive as opposed to The Ancient Gods Part 1. As opposed to the first DLC, which had me often complaining about how often they crammed in these new mechanics, here, I almost feel they are underused.
