The channel was rebranded as Disney Junior on 7 May 2011. It originally closed on 30 September 2020 due to the launch and refocus of Disney+ in the region. It relaunched on Sky’s television platforms on 13 November 2025. As Disney+ grew and gained momentum, maintaining a separate platform like Disneynow started to feel redundant.Following a comprehensive review we have decided to cease distribution of the ABC Spark, Nickelodeon, Disney French (La Chaine Disney), Disney XD and Disney Jr. These channels will no longer be available as of Sept, 2025 at 12:01 a. ET. As of September 1st, 2025, the following channels will no longer be available. Nickelodeon – Channel 138. Disney Junior – Channel 651. Disney XD – Channel 652.
