Is Deathloop PS5 worth it?
Verdict. Despite its seemingly endless complexities, Deathloop is one of the most confidently designed games I’ve ever played. Arkane Studios has crafted a world made of ideas linked by meaningful connections; time influences space, space influences tactics, and tactics influence loadouts. Deathloop is a first-person action video game developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The gameplay in Deathloop is an evolution of many of the gameplay mechanics introduced in Dishonored.Deathloop is a story-driven, first-person action shooter set in a time loop. Choose your preferred playstyle – whether that’s strategic stealth or explosive action – and learn from each cycle. Every loop is an opportunity to try new paths, gather intel, and find new weapons and abilities.A rarity, @deathloop is a AAA videogame that features a lead character who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community. As Colt, you must find a way to put an end to the time loop trapping the island in an endless cycle, all while being hunted by the island’s inhabitants.
How fun is Deathloop?
The kicker is, Deathloop is a solid game. The shooting and stealth mechanisms work well. The powers are fun, and the rogue-lite system works great. It’s fun to build up your arsenal and adapt Colt to your own playstyle. Deathloop has links to Dishonored but you don’t lose anything from not having played them. I highly recommend Dishonored though. I played through Prey and it was good but personally I prefered Dishonored. Is Deathloop boring?
Deathloop is Arkane at its best, combining its system-driven immersive-sim gameplay with a unique and fascinating story set-up. Excellent presentation and style, along with fantastic dialogue and character performances makes Deathloop one of the most innovative games in years and a valuable PS5 exclusive. Whatever your preference with visuals, DEATHLOOP pushes PS5 to give you breathtaking visuals. Choose from: Performancemode to prioritise a steady 60 FPS framerate at a dynamic 4K* resolution. Visual Qualitymode to prioritise a higher resolution image, whilst still targeting 60 FPS.Ultimately, Deathloop is an excellent game and in my opinion, one that works best on PS5 with the 60fps performance mode – but it’s nice to have multiple options available, at least.Deathloop is very good and if you like Dishonored and Prey, you’ll like Deathloop (it’s also set in the Dishonored universe). It’s different but not so different that it doesn’t have the gameplay, level design and storytelling they are known for.But one thing has become apparent: the PS5 is the best place to play Deathloop, even though it’s also available on PC.
Why is Deathloop so hated?
As a lover of stealth based action, this is a pure disappointment. The game gives you freedom how you approach each situation, but no matter what you do you always end up alerting everyone and get smashed. Even if I use a silent weaponand kill somebody isolated, somehow everybody knows about it. Simply put, Hitman: World of Assassination is a masterpiece, offering near-unparalleled flexibility thanks to expert design honed by a studio that has dedicated itself to the art of stealth-action for over 25 years. It was an unquestionable pick for our number one stealth game.
