Can you skip the Fallen Order?
You don’t have to have played Fallen Order. I’d recommend you do though. For one, it’s a great story so it’s awesome to play through Cal’s journey from the beginning. Also, his abilities are expanded in the second game so if you go back to Fallen Order after playing Survivor, you might be missing those abilities. Regarding the meat of your question, if you play Fallen Order first, you will know the characters and background better. I think it’s a good idea to play Fallen Order first, but certainly not essential. And as ‘lefty’ says, if you play Survivor first, you will probably not want to go back to Fallen Order.
