Do they make Guitar Hero for the Wii?
Guitar Hero World Tour, previously named Guitar Hero IV, is the fourth full game in the series and was released on October 26, 2008 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Guitar Hero creators return with Stage Tour, a new rhythm game built for your inner ’90s rock god. The team behind the original Guitar Hero is bringing guitars, drums, mics – and all the nostalgia – back to consoles and PC later this year.
Is Guitar Hero a dead franchise?
The Guitar Hero video game franchise is officially dead. According to publisher Activision, which will close its music game division and cease development of existing Guitar Hero titles, they’re ending the series in order to refocus efforts online. RedOctane was bought by Activision in June — who spent US$100 million to acquire the Guitar Hero franchise — while it was announced in October that Harmonix would be purchased by MTV Games. As a result of the two purchases, Harmonix would no longer develop future games in the Guitar Hero series.
