Do I need all Stellaris DLC?

An expansion DLC is normally accompanied by a free patch that gives players most of the new content as not to hinder the playability of the game. As such, most DLCs are seen as optional content for players who wish to have a better gaming experience in exchange for some monetary support. If you buy the DLC, you’ll have access to the new weapon packs. I had more fun playing the DLC than the game itself.

Is Stellaris CPU or GPU heavy?

Stellaris is a highly CPU dependent title and the late game slowdown can be eased (but not eliminated) only through a fast CPU. However as the game only uses 1-2 cores, you don’t need a CPU with a lot of cores, nor one with hyperthreading. This means an i7 or an AMD Ryzen won’t be of much use per se. At minimum, Stellaris requires 4 GB of RAM. However, for smoother performance—especially in the late game or with large galaxies and mods—8 GB or more is highly recommended. For typical computer users, 32GB of RAM is generally considered enough, and anything significantly beyond that might be considered overkill for most use cases.

Do you need a powerful PC to run Stellaris?

If you’re building a new PC it’s good to make the ram 32GB. If you don’t play other graphics heavy AAA games, Stellaris can render fine even on an Intel Arc A380 which is the cheapest most recent GPU. This game doesn’t need much VRAM, even for 4k. You just need a powerful CPU. Gb should be plenty for the usable life of the card in my opinion. Even 8Gb is plenty doable and just starting to be a problem at 1440p in some modern games and even in them games that can use more than 8GB of vram, the 8GB cards usually wouldn’t be fast enough and you’d have to turn down something anyway.
