Saints Row: The Third is a 2011 action-adventure game developed by Volition and published by THQ. It is the sequel to 2008’s Saints Row 2 and the third installment in the Saints Row series.While it isn’t the most groundbreaking narrative the gameplay and activities make up for it. Saints Row 2 was just the perfect storm of deep plot, silliness, gameplay innovation, and open world interactiveness.
Did Saints Row compete with GTA?
Saints Row 2 was a direct competitor to GTA 4. Saints Row released games quicker, and they got goofier and goofier. So the competition didnt last long. Its biggest competitor was Mafia, which is still around. Although the Saints Row and GTA series share some similarities, the differences are clearly visible. On a side note, one should remember that while GTA games are pretty consistent in how they’re played and what they offer, Saints Row games are more varied, which makes comparing series to series quite difficult.
