Comments Section You’re fine. I ran on a 4gb GTX 970 with 16gbDDR3 and a 4th gen i5. I am on pretty same specs except my RAM is 16 gigs and it runs decently. You should be able to run it just fine. The GTX960 is capable of running GTA-V, but the 4GB card offers no gain in performance over 2GB. Also I managed to run a GTX 960 on a high quality Silverstone Passive 300W PSU so you *may* get away with the 350W unit you have. If you go for a 970 then you’ll need a 500W or more.

This is the game basically saying that you would need a GPU with at least 5GB VRAM for max settings at 1080P, assuming your CPU can keep up! It is still possible to play the game on medium or high settings with less VRAM than this, as even Rockstar games recommends graphics cards with at least 4GB of VRAM. Gb should be plenty for the usable life of the card in my opinion. Even 8Gb is plenty doable and just starting to be a problem at 1440p in some modern games and even in them games that can use more than 8GB of vram, the 8GB cards usually wouldn’t be fast enough and you’d have to turn down something anyway.GB vram is fine. Currently there are only 1 or 2 games which need more than 12GB VRAM when running at 4k maximum setting with ultra texture. GB vram should be totally fine for 1440p gaming for at least next couple of years easily. If you have an outdated GTX 1050, you can compromise by setting anti-aliasing and lighting to medium level, the surrounding world won’t change much. But you will get a good FPS boost. It is anyways not a CPU heavy game as said earlier, but single core performance matters a lot for gaming. RDR2 won’t hit CPU bottleneck as easily & is heavier on the CPU. So overall power draw of CPU & GPU will be higher.
