Is Redguard a good race in Skyrim?
As in previous Elder Scrolls games, the Redguards excel in combat. In Skyrim, unlike previous games, they are more magically inclined than Nords or Orcs. With Orcs as a possible exception, they make for the best defensive fighters due to having the best starting skill in One-Handed in addition to their skill in Block. Redguards are just masters of combat, they are adept in all kinds of weaponry. There are prominent redguards that use shields, spears, axes, etc. They are just masters of combat all around, a true warrior people. The most common weapon they master is the sword, not the only weapon though, just most common.Within the game, Redguards are described as: The racial skills of the Redguards reflect their ancestral legacy as sword masters, giving them bonuses to shields, base stamina, stamina recovery, movement, and duration of effects from food. Their ability to flow in martial combat is unparalleled.Honestly, a Redguard is fit to use any combination of weapons. Just depends on the style you want to use. Sword and shield is more balanced, but if you really want to make the best use of Adrenaline Rush and inflict massive damage, you want dual swords. The relationship between Bretons and Redguards is probably like that of Germany and Russia. They don’t really like each other unless they have to work against a common enemy (The Central Powers/Axis and Orcs), and that cooperation is temporary.
