Been a while but IIRC the lawsuit was based around one man’s ridiculous belief that the devs of Elden Ring were hiding an entirely different game beneath the surface of Elden Ring. He believed it was already there, we just couldn’t access it. Not the DLC. Like a whole other game. IMO Elden Ring is still an incredible experience in 2025, and with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expanding the world even further, there’s never been a better time to dive in (or return).
