Blur is an arcade-style racing game combined with vehicular combat. Blur features a racing style that incorporates real world cars and locales with arcade style handling and vehicular combat. The game is a spiritual successor to the Project Gotham Racing series.Blur is Mario Kart. Once you make your first turn in Blur’s frantic 20-player races, its similarities to Nintendo’s franchise become abundantly clear. Glowing power-ups litter the tracks, and their analogous functions are immediately obvious. The red shunt pickup is just the homing red shell.
Can I still play Blur online?
Current state. At the moment of writing Blur official online services for PC, PS3, and Xbox360 are still up and running. In order to play on official servers you need a CD-key, which is coming with any copy of Blur. Sadly, after 11 years since Blur release its CD-keys are a scarce resource. The game could have been removed for a number of reasons, including the closure of developer Bizarre Creations in early 2011, but the most likely cause was expired licensing of the real-world cars featured in the game. Blur remains available on physical media, playable in single-player and offline multiplayer modes.
