Is Bastion a difficult game?
This isn’t the most difficult game to play through, but that didn’t matter to me in the slightest. Bastion is an experience through and through. The first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful art style, which is seemingly hand-drawn and includes a plethora of detail. And that’s why I think Bastion is amazing: it managed to be both an accessible indie title with broad appeal AND a brutal, cleverly balanced twitch-brawler with incredibly precise gameplay — and it transforms from one to the other so subtly that you don’t realize it’s happening.Bastion is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB with Animated Blood, Fantasy Violence, and Use of Alcohol and Tobacco. This is an action role-playing game in which players assume the role of a young adventurer who must help rebuild his shattered world.
Is Bastion a short game?
Bastion also understands how to keep things moving. The game clocks in at around six hours, which is longer than I expect from most Xbox Live Arcade releases. On my second play through (with all my experience, upgraded weapons and experience points) the game took half that time. When focusing on the main objectives, Bastion is about 6 Hours in length. If you’re a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 20½ Hours to obtain 100% completion.
