In the game, the player controls the Kid as he moves through floating, fantasy-themed environments and fights enemies of various types.Bastion also understands how to keep things moving. The game clocks in at around six hours, which is longer than I expect from most Xbox Live Arcade releases. On my second play through (with all my experience, upgraded weapons and experience points) the game took half that time.

Hades takes a lot of the combat mechanics from Bastion and Transistor translating them into a more fast-paced, polished experience. It seems that they learned a lot from these two games and are able to use that experience in Hades to provide an even better experience.In all it’s familiarity the Diabloesque gameplay sucks you in, but it is the beautiful word, the brilliant music, and the genius voice over that keeps you going. Bastion might be a game, but it’s much more a fascinating fairy tale told in real time.
Is Bastion a difficult game?
This isn’t the most difficult game to play through, but that didn’t matter to me in the slightest. Bastion is an experience through and through. The first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful art style, which is seemingly hand-drawn and includes a plethora of detail. When focusing on the main objectives, Bastion is about 6 Hours in length. If you’re a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 20½ Hours to obtain 100% completion.
